Awesome Instagram Photos Of Delhi's Evolving Street Art

Delhi Has Street Art Too, And It's Awesome

In recent years, graffiti on Delhi streets has evolved from random scrawls of 'Tina I heart you' or 'Ramu f*** Kaka' or 'My name is (insert badly-thought pseudonym here)' to beautiful works of art that range from hilarious caricatures to intricate geometric patterns and flashy murals of Hindu gods. Shahpur Jat, Hauz Khas Village and Connaught Place are dotted with street art - so much so that it was turned into a festival last year.

There is a particularly beautiful one near Kashmere Gate:

Here's another sketch of the common man catching a few zzz's on the wall of a flyover - it makes for quite a funny picture with the cars zooming by.

There's a bright green lizard in Hauz Khas Village.

Dotting the cityscape are many such fascinating works of art. To keep up with all the street art regularly, one can follow delhistreetart on Instagram, although there are a bunch of avid Instagram followers who have captured all this creativity. Here are a few samples:
