The trailer for Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam, a Nishikant Kamat remake of a blockbuster Malayalam film by the same name, is out. It tells the story of a village cable operator who gets embroiled in a battle of wits with a high ranking cop under unusual circumstances.
The film, set for release on 31 July, stars Shriya Saran and Tabu in key roles. The Malayalam film, directed by Jeetu Joseph starring Mohanlal and Meena, became the biggest blockbuster in the history of Kerala's film industry.
The plot has similarities with The Devotion of Suspect X, a Japanese novel by Keigo Higashino, which was adapted into a Japanese film by the same name.
