Veteran actor Kamal Haasan and daughter Shruti Haasan might act in an upcoming Tamil film together as father and daughter, according to a report by The Quint.

The film, based on a script the senior Haasan has been working on for several years, will be directed by veteran Malayalam filmmaker T Rajeev Kumar, who made his acclaimed directorial debut starring the former in 1989 with Chanakyan.

The report also stated that Haasan is in talks with renowned composer Ilaiyaraaja to do the music for this as-yet-untitled feature. The film will be shot in the United States, where Haasan is currently scouting for locations. The cast and crew will be finalised in a week's time.
