NEW DELHI -- The Delhi Government has claimed that the pollution level in the city has come down due to implementation of the odd-even scheme for cars.

Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai on Thursday said the major pollutant PM 2.5 came down by around 25 percent as compared to the average figure of December last year.

Rai said data collected from 18 different locations in the city is showing a decline in the pollution level, but the scheme has had no major effect at border areas.

He said the scheme would continue till 15 December, while further decision would be taken after reviewing its outcome.
