Le dernier bilan de l'effondrement d'un immeuble près de Dacca au Bangladesh fait état de 610 morts selon les autorités militaires, chargées de coordonner les secours depuis la catastrophe survenue le 24 avril.
La même source précise que 41 nouveaux corps ont été découverts dimanche sous les décombres.
L'état de décomposition des corps rend leur identification difficile, ajoutent les autorités.
Les services de secours ont récupéré 2437 personnes vivantes, indique l'armée.
Il n'était pas conçu pour des usines
Le bâtiment qui s'est effondré avait été conçu pour abriter un centre commercial et des bureaux, pas des usines textiles, a déclaré son architecte, Massoud Reza.
Le Rana Plaza, construit en 2004, devait compter six niveaux, et non neuf.
Il n'était pas conçu pour soutenir des poids importants tels que des machines et des génératrices, mis en place dans les ateliers de confection, a-t-il ajouté.
Au moment de l'effondrement, quelque 3000 ouvriers se trouvaient au sein du Rana Plaza.
