Les églises ne se résument pas seulement à un lieu de culte. Certaines sont réputées pour leur architecture: le Sacré Cœur à Paris, la Chapelle Sixtine à Rome ou encore la Basilique Sainte-Sophie à Istanbul attirent des milliers de touristes chaque année. Si ces monuments sont majestueux, ils restent assez traditionnels en termes d'architecture. Du moins quand on les compare à d'autres édifices beaucoup plus originaux.
