On ne se méfie jamais assez de la puissance de l'eau

La terre a bougé sous ses pieds… Vendredi 28 et samedi 29 avril, pendant de violentes inondations au Texas, un automobiliste a vu un torrent d'eau et de boue emporter la route, à quelques mètres de lui, à proximité de la ville de Lindale.

En moins d’une minute, une partie du bitume, des branches et deux gros tuyaux flottaient sur l'eau, laissant stupéfait l'homme qui assistait à la scène, comme le montre notre vidéo au-dessus de l'article.

Lors de ces inondations, une grand-mère et quatre de ses petits-enfants sont morts le samedi 29 avril, emportés par des inondations au Texas, dans le sud des Etats-Unis.

Une femme âgée de 64 ans et quatre petits-enfants âgés de 6,7,8 et 9 ans ont été emportés par les eaux dans la ville de Palestine, située à l'est du Texas.Dans la nuit de vendredi à samedi, les eaux sont montées très rapidement pour atteindre le niveau des toits des maisons après le débordement d'une rivière derrière un quartier résidentiel, selon les médias locaux.

Cette région avait déjà été frappée, une dizaine de jours auparavant, par des inondations, qui avaient provoqué la mort d'au moins sept personnes.
