iPhone 5s: le Touch ID piraté par des hackers (VIDÉO)

Il leur aura fallu moins d'un week-end pour en venir à bout. Alors que l'iPhone 5s, doté du système de reconnaissance d'empreintes digitales ou "Touch ID", est sorti vendredi 20 septembre, le groupe de hackers allemands Chaos Computer Club (CCC) a annoncé avoir réussi à déjouer cette fonctionnalité, rapporte France Info.

Dans une vidéo publiée le 22 septembre sur Youtube, le Chaos Computer Club montre comment le Touch ID peut-être "piraté". En réalité, il ne s'agit pas d'un piratage informatique à proprement parler. Le Chaos Computer Club a en effet photographié une empreinte en haute résolution et l'a ensuite imprimé sur une feuille transparente.

"L'empreinte en question a été photographiée par le CCC avec une résolution de 2400 dpi. L'image, nettoyée, a ensuite été imprimée avec du relief grâce à une imprimante laser en résolution 1200 dpi, sur une feuille transparente. Puis cette empreinte a été transférée sur du latex", détaille l'Expansion.

Si l'astuce mise en œuvre par le Chaos Computer Club s'avérait imparable, ce serait une bien mauvaise nouvelle pour Apple qui a beaucoup parié sur cette nouvelle technologie.

Dans une note de blog, le Chaos Computer Club justifie sa démarche par la mise en garde des consommateurs. "Comme nous le disons depuis des années, les empreintes digitales ne devraient pas être utilisées pour sécuriser quoi que ce soit. Vous les laissez partout, et il est beaucoup trop facile d'en faire des fausses", prévient-il.
