Le réseau américain HBO a dévoilé mardi la bande-annonce du documentaire Eagles of Death Metal : nos amis.

Le film porte sur les mois qui ont suivi l'attentat survenu au Bataclan, à Paris, le 13 novembre 2015 et sur les raisons qui ont poussé le groupe Eagles of Death Metal (EODM) à retourner jouer dans la Ville lumière à l'occasion d'un concert à l'Olympia en février 2016.

Eagles of Death Metal : nos amis comprend des entrevues avec Jesse Hughes (le chanteur du groupe), Bono (U2 avait invité EODM sur scène lors de son passage à Paris), Josh Homme (le cofondateur du groupe) et d’autres.

Réalisé par Colin Hanks, le fils de l'acteur Tom Hanks, le documentaire sera diffusé le 13 février prochain sur HBO.

Colin Hanks a précisé qu’il n’a pas abordé dans le film les propos controversés émis par Jesse Hughes. Le chanteur avait suggéré que l'attaque au Bataclan pouvait avoir été planifiée de l'intérieur et qu'il avait « vu des musulmans faire la fête dans la rue pendant l'attaque, en temps réel ».
