Un animateur de radio de Fort McMurray touche ses concitoyens grâce à une vidéo sur Facebook

Le beau geste d'un animateur de radio de «Fort Mac»

Chris Byrne, un animateur à la station de radio Rock 97,9 de Fort McMurray, a posé un geste qui a ému les habitants de sa ville et les internautes, hier, alors que la population commence à retourner dans la municipalité évacuée il y a quelques semaines.

Comme vous pouvez le voir dans la vidéo ci-dessus, qui a été publiée par Byrne sur la page Facebook du Chris Byrne Program, l'animateur qui adore «le bon vin et le fromage qui pue» a modifié un mot sur la pancarte indiquant aux automobilistes qu'ils entrent à Fort McMurray.

«Bienvenue à Fort McMurray» est donc devenu «Bienvenue à la maison, Fort McMurray».

La vidéo a été partagée plus de 5 400 fois et a reçu environ 140 commentaires. «C'est fabuleux Chris Byrne! Merci! J'ai tellement hâte de revenir à la maison!», écrit une de ses concitoyennes.

Une autre personne, qui ne vit plus à Fort McMurray, a elle aussi été touchée. «J'ai vécu à Fort Mac pour 10 ans, et je veux y retourner. Je suis dépassée par ce qui s'est passé dans cette ville que j'appelais ma maison et que j'appelle encore comme ça même si je suis partie il y a trois ans. C'est un tout petit geste qui en dit long en ce moment.»

Le retour à la maison se fera graduellement et ne sera pas une expérience heureuse pour tous. Plusieurs ne pourront que constater les dégâts laissés par l'énorme feu de forêt qui a ravagé la ville albertaine.
