PARIS — Le bureau du procureur de Paris a ouvert une enquête préliminaire à l'endroit d'un parlementaire français accusé de harcèlement sexuel et d'agression sexuelle.
Le bureau a expliqué par voie de communiqué mardi qu'il entendra quatre femmes qui, la veille, ont publiquement dénoncé les agissements de Denis Baupin.
L'homme de 53 ans, un Vert, a démissionné lundi de son poste de vice-président de la chambre basse de l'Assemblée nationale.
M. Baupin nie avoir quoi que ce soit à se reprocher et son avocat assure qu'il a démissionné uniquement pour se consacrer à sa défense.
Aucune des victimes présumées n'avait dénoncé M. Baupin à l'époque. Elles affirment toutes avoir craint pour leur carrière et ne pas avoir voulu nuire à leur parti politique.
La porte-parole du parti Europe Écologie Les Verts, Sandrine Rousseau, affirme que M. Baupin lui a empoigné les seins et a essayé de l'embrasser de force en 2011.
Une autre parlementaire des Verts, Isabelle Attard, dit avoir reçu des textos explicites et harcelants presque chaque jour en 2012 et 2013.
