Voilà une nouvelle tendance de cet été devenue virale qui se révèle très dangereuse pour la santé : le « Sunburn Art » ou les coups de soleil artistique.

C’est aussi simple que complètement idiot : les adeptes de cet « art éphémère » se crèment en oubliant des parcelles de peau. Les parties non protégées brûlent sous l’effet des rayons de soleil et contrastent avec le reste de l'épiderme qui demeurera blanc. Une pratique qui inquiète les autorités médicales qui ne cessent de nous alarmer sur les risque de cancers de la peau liés aux UV.

Pour s'exposer sans danger, voici 3 conseils essentiels

*Il est important de s'appliquer un écran solaire toute les deux heures d'exposition. Si vous vous baignez, renouvelez l'application après chaque baignade. Il est important d'appliquer la crème solaire 20 minutes avant de sortir généreusement. Couvrez bien toutes les parties du corps exposées, y compris les oreilles, le nez, le dessus des pieds et l'arrière des genoux.

*Consultez le site de Santé Canada pour voir les crèmes solaires recommandées et les marques déconseillées.

*Ne mettez pas de crème solaire sur la peau d'un bébé de moins de 6 mois. Tenez les bébés à l'écart du soleil et de la chaleur, étant donné que leur peau et leur corps sont beaucoup plus sensibles que ceux des adultes.
