Beatriz Pedreira

Beatriz Pedreira is a social scientist and a political behavior researcher based in São Paulo. She works with projects that stimulate and engage society in public causes and possesses more than ten years of experience in public and political innovation. As a social behavior researcher, she co-created and coordinated the research project Sonho Brasileiro da Política (Brazilian Dream of Politics) and is the co-founder of Update, an Organization that maps and promotes political innovation in Latin America. As part of the Update team, Beatriz Pedreira coordinated exploratory research about emerging political practices in Latin America, mapping more than 700 cases in 20 countries, which led to the classification of the ecosystem of political innovation in the region, and identified key political trends in Latin America. She is the co-creator of Jogo da Política (Game of Politics), a political education methodology to be used in schools across Brazil.
