Program Manager of the Insight Center's Closing the Racial Wealth Gap Initiative

Victor Corral is the Program Manager of the Closing the Racial Wealth Gap Initiative, a national effort to close the gap in wealth between people of color and Whites, at the Insight Center for Community Economic Development. The Insight Center is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to help people and communities become, and remain, economically secure through innovative employment, early childhood, business development, and asset building programs.

At the Insight Center, Victor manages the Experts of Color Network, a national, multi-racial coalition of over 150 of the leading minds on asset-building and economic security who have come together to educate the public, the media, and policymakers on the racial wealth gap and provide policy solutions to close it. Victor is also in charge of helping to coordinate the Initiative’s media and social media strategy to ensure that voices of color inform and shape the national economic debate.

Victor was previously a Public Policy Fellow and Researcher at the Applied Research Center, a national racial justice organization, where he worked on issues of income inequality and co-authored a study on childcare in low-income communities of color.

His writing has appeared in ColorLines Magazine, RaceWire, and at The Cultural Connect, an online magazine that profiled young, successful professionals of color.

Victor is a veteran of the United States Navy and has a BA from the University of California at Berkeley.
