Pretty Little Liars
There have been a number of outstanding scripted series this summer on basic and pay cable, all of them deserving of special praise. But at the moment there are three I can't stop thinking about: ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars, FX's Louie and Cinemax's Strike Back.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
Some mannequin dresser has got a good eye because those mannequins somehow manage to convince people that they totally should buy a sequined paisley print mullet dress that will look best when accompanied by a grandmother's crochet sweater.
Nostalgia has is merits, but some youthful classics aren't destined to age with me. This is why I fear the inevitable day when I read about a new series in which Harriet the Spy runs the CIA.
