With Americans spending twice as much time at work than they do on household activities, it stands to reason that office spaces are getting more and more glam.
The latest gem to join the list is the new San Francisco headquarters of vacation-rental website Airbnb. Located in a 100-year old renovated warehouse in the city’s SoMA neighborhood, the sprawling space is inspired by eight Airbnb listings around the world, including the original San Francisco apartment that the founders launched Airbnb back in 2008, according to Design Taxi. The designers even went as far as sourcing trinkets from the respective countries and modeling a conference room after the War Room in the Stanley Kubrick film "Dr. Strangelove."
Airbnb's new office is a major upgrade from its former Potrero Hill location and the perfect spot to skip the hectic winter travel rush and enjoy a staycation instead.
