As someone who used to roll up to the gate in my boxiest sweatshirt and a pair of old leggings, I was always envious of travelers who looked put-together, like they could go straight from the airport to the next activity. But comfort always took precedence for me, and I was unsure that there was a best of both worlds. Turns out, there is: On my last flight from Los Angeles to New York, I tried out a matching lounge set I found on Amazon, and I don’t think I’ll ever go back.
For a few days only, some colors of this set are on Black Friday sale. Get it for 15% off, which is the best discount we’ve seen all year.
Composed of a sweater and a pair of wide-leg sweatpants with a drawstring waist, this set by Etcyy New is so soft, with a relaxed fit that doesn’t look frumpy. The crewneck sweater has side slits and ribbing on the hem and arm cuffs. The arms also have a cute, very slight bishop sleeve effect on me, since they puff out just a little above the cuffs.
The pants are similarly stylish, with unhemmed edges and a flowy, flared fit that doesn’t feel restrictive. The two front pockets fit my iPhone or other small essentials (on the plane, I kept my AirPods case in there for safekeeping while I listened to music). I felt cozy enough in the set to nap almost the whole way through my red-eye flight.
Because I was flying in early January and had to navigate outside at the airport, I elected to wear a shirt under the sweater for extra warmth since it’s not super thick. I’ve since also worn the set as is, however, to dinner with a friend when it wasn’t 10 degrees out, and even just for lounging at home. The thinner feel of the sweater actually makes it more suitable for year-round use, since it’s easy to layer up when necessary. And even with the cold, dry air blasting on the plane, I stayed at a comfortable temperature.
I have the set in the black and white colorway pictured above, with gray stripes. While both pieces go well together, I like that the neutral colors (especially the plain black pants) allow me to easily mix and match the top and bottom with my other clothing. The set comes in 20 different colors and patterns, so you can choose your favorite, and women’s sizes S-XL.
My one recommendation: Don’t put this in the dryer. The set is made with a viscose blend, and using the dryer could shrink it.
Now that I’ve been introduced to the idea of matching sets, I’m excited to travel in comfort and style moving forward. Below, see what other reviewers have to say about wearing this set, and grab one for yourself.
“Love it! It was exactly what I was needing for my business trip plane ride. I was able to change the attire from casual just by changing my shoes. I was stylish and comfortable for my meeting.” — Amazon Customer
“I ordered these a couple months ago and use them very often when I stay at hotels on layovers. I love my Flight Attendant life. Great for lounging or going down to dining room. I love the material. Great quality. Is not raggedy. I can see these getting lots of use for a long time. I’ve bought others here on Amazon before and they were not as nice quality as this brand. Also, I have long legs and other brands ended up above my ankle. These go down to my ankle. I just love them. Great length.” — Lisette
“This outfit is exquisite! It’s very well made and so comfortable. This outfit is really classy and and I feel very pretty wearing it!” — Nancy Doebbler
“My sis in law and I got this set in different colors for thanksgiving, and they were perfect!! They kept us warm, cozy and able to stuff our faces without unbuttoning our jeans lol. Will be buying another pair!” — Tristan Mosher
“I’m very pleased with the set I ordered. The fabric is thick, soft, and feels lush. It’s loose, warm, and looks luxurious. The colors are vibrant and beautiful. Great purchase.” — True Blue Chica

Rating: 4.5 stars across over 15,000 ratings
Before you say it, I know, I know, the Elemis Pro-Collagen cleansing balm is on the pricier side, even when it's on sale. Yet, its inclusion in this list should speak to just how worth it we think it is. Loved by a whole pack of HuffPost staffers, it's an oil cleansing balm you can use to remove makeup, clean your face, and keep your skin soft and supple. "I’ve found it’s one of the only products that can effectively cleanse my skin AND nourish it without making me break out," HuffPost Head of Life Kristen Aiken said. "I have perpetually dry skin no matter how much water I drink, and this saves me from drying out (especially in the winter months)." In the coldest months of the year, you'll be happy to have this nourishing balm — especially when it's on sale.

LifeStraw personal water filter (43% off list price)
Rating: 4.8 stars across over 122,000 ratings
In the universe of HuffPost shopping, this LifeStraw personal water purifier would be its own planet. It's a compact, handheld tool about as long as a fork that turns nearly any water safe for drinking.
Survivalist Ky Furneaux first recommended it to HuffPost, saying that anyone venturing outside should keep one handy as a precaution. “It’s light and doesn’t take up much room so it isn’t a huge inconvenience for something that may save your life,” she said, adding that “just knowing that water purification is taken care of takes a load off your mind and allows you to fully focus on other needs.”
“It can remove microplastics, bacteria, parasites and more (including E. coli, salmonella and giardia) from just about any water source," wrote in our previous coverage. "One single filter has a long lifespan, providing about 1,000 gallons of clean and safe drinking water — making it well worth the price tag.”
While this is an easy “yes” for hikers and campers navigating water sources in the great outdoors, Uribe notes it can be a smart purchase for travelers and city slickers alike. "Even if you’re not big on the great outdoors, there’s no denying that there’s enough global instability to make one a bit nervous — and the existence of natural disasters alone is a good enough reason to have one in an emergency kit," she said. Over 120,000 Amazon reviewers have helped the product earn a rare 4.8-star rating.
A nausea relief inhaler a HuffPost writer put to the test (20% off list price)
Rating: 4.4 stars across over 2,000 ratings
In previous reporting, senior shopping writer Tessa Flores wrote about her experience using Allclair nausea relief inhalers. Prone to frequent waves of nausea, Flores wrote, "Just the other day, my partner decided to cook well-done eggs — which emitted an odor that, for whatever reason, makes me want to gag. I was driven to reach for this nondescript tube, and after just a couple of inhales, the fresh and medicinal vapor in my mouth and nose completely made the uncomfortable sensation dissipate. I’ve also whipped this out while feeling queasy on the train, in cars, and even following a night of one too many alcoholic beverages and it did the trick in seconds."
The tube has the inhaler on one end and an oil dropper on the other, with both sides emitting a pleasant aroma made of natural herbs. The formula is non-medicated, and unlike other nausea relief products, it's non-drowsy, too.

There's a reason these things absolutely fly off the shelves when they go on sale: they really can work. All you have to do is peel off two strips and apply them for 45 minutes once a day, and Crest says you can see a difference of up to 20 shades whiter in about three weeks. This kit comes with 44 Professional Effects Whitestrips — enough for 22 days of treatments — and two one-hour Express Whitening treatments. Snag them while you can, as they've been known to sell out during big sales.
Bissell Little Green carpet and upholstery cleaner (31% off list price)
Rating: 4.4 stars across over 101,000 ratings
"Boy, am I ever glad I bought one of these a few years ago," wrote Janie Campbell, our former deals writer. "Every time I spill food on my rug — and this happens a lot — I just run for the Little Green, flip it on, spend a scant minute scrubbing and breath a sigh of relief. It gets stains out of carpet and rugs with a spray-and-scrub brush that also vacuums up the dirty water into the dirty water tank. It's saved me from soy sauce, ketchup, dollops of curry and more than one dropped sandwich."
This may just be one of the most beloved cleaning tools we share, and reviewers have given it 4.4 stars in gratitude. It also comes with a free bottle of stain-removing solution you can mix into the clean water tank.
