Chris Hyndman, best known for his work with longtime partner Steven Sabados on CBC's lifestyle show “Steven & Chris,” has passed away suddenly at age 49.

The popular talk show host's body was discovered in an east end Toronto alleyway without vital signs, according to CBC News. Toronto Police told the news site Hyndman's body was found after 11 p.m. on Monday near the intersection of Queen Street and Broadview Avenue.

Hyndman and Sabados, who have been together more than 25 years, built a lifestyle brand beloved by Canadians, starting with HGTV's “Designer Guys” in 2000, moving on to “So Chic,” “Design Rivals,” and finally, “Steven & Chris,” which is now in its eighth season.

CBC, in a tweet about the news, announced it would be pulling the show for the time being:
