GQ Australia has named Ruby Rose its Woman of the Year!
The 29-year-old Aussie took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal the news to her 5.6 million followers, saying, "I feel so honoured." Rose, along with Michael Clarke, Jai Courtney, David Gandy and Cody Simpson, will front one of five collector edition front covers of the December issue, which recognizes the glossy's Men of the Year Award recipients. The former MTV Australia VJ was the only woman to walk away with an award.
The cover, shot by Todd Barry, features Ruby in a black, low-cut bustier, showing off her chest tattoos, with a leather jacket draped from her shoulders. She sports a thick, dark cat eye and glossy nude lip as she gives the camera a smoldering look.
The honour was revealed at the annual award ceremony at Merivale's Ivy Ballroom in Sydney where Rose attended with fiancée Phoebe Dahl. She wore a gorgeous, low-cut embellished lace jumpsuit with a flared pant from Zuhair Murad's autumn/winter 2015 collection.
This has been quite the year for the up-and-coming Hollywood A-lister. Not only did she become everyone's #WCW and new style icon as badass inmate Stella Carlin on the Netflix original series "Orange Is The New Black," but she also discussed gender fluidity openly with the media and educated many around the world. Did we mention she wore a pasta dress as she hosted this year's MTV EMAs in Italy? Yeah, she's kind of amazing.
YAS RUBY!
