A New Years Eve meal at a Montreal Chinese restaurant turned violent with two groups overturning tables and throwing chairs and objects at each other.
A video of the fight was posted online by restaurant-goer Shawn Turnbull and even made it onto popular crime website The Smoking Gun.
The National Post interviewed an employee at New Dynasty, the restaurant that was the site of the fight, who said that the two groups didn't know each other.
"It was dangerous of course," the anonymous employee told the paper. "You can see that. It was out of control," the employee added.
The Montreal Gazette said that the damage to the restaurant ranged from $10,000 to $20,000 and the carpet may have to be replaced.
"One man was cut and fell to the ground. There was a lot of blood on the carpet," a restaurant employee told the Gazette.
It is not known if anyone was arrested due to the incident.
