David Dhawan's Salman Khan-starrer Judwaa, which was a major hit in 1996, is getting a sequel.
Titled Judwaa 2, the film will feature Dhawan's son, Varun, along with Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu.
Interestingly, Varun recently worked with Jacqueline in brother Rohit's Dishoom but it is the first time he will be seen working with Taapsee Pannu, who received accolades for her role in Pink.
Like Salman in the original film that featured Karisma Kapoor and Rambha, Varun too will be seen in a double role.
According to a Bombay Timesreport, action choreographers from the Fast and Furious series have been signed up to design the action for Judwaa 2 and an international DOP too is part of the crew.
The film goes on floors next month and is expected to hit the screens in September 2017.
The first Judwaa became a hit thanks in no small terms to its wildly popular album which included the chartbuster Duniya Mein Aaye Ho To Love Karlo. It remains to be seen if Anu Malik, who composed the music for the first film, will be roped in for the sequel.
