A 34-year-old Pune-based techie, who was undergoing treatment for infertility, allegedly killed his wife and then committed suicide because he was upset at his medical history being discussed on WhatsApp and other social media platforms, according to a report in the Hindustan Times.
Rakesh Balasaheb Gangurde and his wife Sonali, 28, used to quarrel about this issue often, according to the police who found a suicide note from the apartment. Sonali's mother sent her son Harshal Pawar to check on Sonali when she failed to answer her calls from Nashik.
Harshal found Sonali's body lying in the hall and Rakesh's body hanging from a ceiling fan in the bedroom, the report said. Rakesh worked with an IT company and Sonali was a computer engineer. The couple was trying for a child for the past few months.
