My life in reading

While I read English fiction to become better at writing, the story-in-Hindi sucked me in, leaving no time to pay attention to specific phrases and sentences.
The Kalyani Public Library, which had just one bookshelf for young readers, taught me to love books but I’m not nostalgic for it.
I read books in secret, on the bus risking my vertigo, at railway stations amidst overpowering noise, in between chemistry exams, and during church sermons.
This journey would not have started if 'Noddy and Big Ears' and the evil goblins had not burst into my life.
I found that my world continued to expand with each page I read.
