Ce dimanche 26 juin avait lieu à Los Angeles la cérémonie des BET Awards, récompensant les afro-américains dans le domaine artistique.

Chaque année, le tapis rouge offre son lot de personnalités et réunit de grandes stars internationales. Mais cette année, c'est certainement Alicia Keys qui a brillé, au naturel. Fidèle du mouvement #NoMakeUp, la chanteuse s'est présentée à la cérémonie dans une combinaison noire, simple, un foulard noué sur la tête et une paire de créoles aux oreilles. Elle été accompagnée de son époux Swizz Beatz.

Sur la scène des BET Awards 2016, le duo Beyoncé et Kendrick Lamar est venu faire sa révolution, Stevie Wonder, Tori Kelly et Janelle Monae ont rendu un énième hommage à Prince, Jamie Foxx a tenu à remercier une dernière fois Mohammed Ali tandis qu'Usher et Young Thug se sont associés pour un morceau endiablé.

Côté récompenses, le réalisateur Spike Lee a décerné un prix d'honneur à Samuel L. Jackson pour l'ensemble de sa carrière. On notera également le prix de Nicki Minaj pour l'artiste hip-hop de l'année, celui de Beyoncé pour le meilleur clip et l'artiste RnB ou encore celui de Drake et Rihanna pour la meilleure collaboration sur "Work". Dans les prix décernés au septième art, tandis que "Straight Outta Compton" a été élu meilleur film, Michael B. Jordan a reçu le prix du meilleur acteur pour son rôle dans "Creed".
