«C'est injuste parce que tout le monde pense que les filles doivent juste être jolies et que les garçons doivent simplement être aventureux.» Avec cette phrase, Daisy a conquis tout un pays. Cette jeune Britannique de huit ans vit dans le sud-est de l'Angleterre, dans le Comté de Wiltshire, et une vidéo dans laquelle elle apparaît sur Facebook a désormais été vue plus d'un million de fois.
La scène a été tournée par la maman de Daisy dans un magasin Tesco, une chaîne de supermarchés très répandue en Angleterre. Comme le montre notre vidéo en tête d'article, on y voit la fillette s'agacer face à deux rayons de vêtements pour enfants. D'un côté, chez les filles, les slogans sur les habits clament «Je me sens superbe» ou «Jolie» quand ceux des garçons vantent un goût illimité pour l'aventure et l'envie d'atteindre ses rêves.
Une différenciation honteuse pour la jeune fille. «C'est nul! Pourquoi les garçons et les filles devraient être séparés? On ne devrait pas être différenciés parce qu'on est aussi bien les uns que les autres.» Et de conclure avec malice en allant placer des tee-shirts pour garçon floqués «Héros» dans le rayon des filles.
