Trainer at the Open Data Institute

Ben is a trainer at the Open Data Institute in London and works on the delivery of training, leading development of sector-specific courses across the ODI’s broad range of public, in-house and online training.

Ben has spent the past 4 years as an IT consultant for industry, academia and government, specialising in training, research and project development. He has worked across a range of sectors and helped to deliver major EC open data projects for local government and agriculture. He has experience preparing EU tenders, facilitating creativity workshops and speaking on topics including smart cities and eGovernment to agriculture, education and transport systems.

Ben holds a BA and MA from the University of Nottingham in Philosophy, Theology and Literature with research interests in systems theory and emergence in social and political networks.
