Founder, CrowdVoice.org, an open source platform that tracks voice of protest from around the world by curating and contextualizing information. 2011, founded Mideast Tunes, a Web and mobile app that showcases underground musicians in the Middle East who use music as a tool for social change. Recipient of awards: Berkman Award, Harvard University's Berkman Center for Internet and Society, for outstanding contributions to the Internet and its impact on society; Monaco Media Prize, which acknowledges innovative uses of media for the betterment of humanity.
