Roger Friedland

Friedland studies the love, sex and God and the ways these organize intimate and political life. Together with Janet Afary, he is currently examining gender, Islam and love in the Muslim majority countries, and with John Mohr and Henk Roose, the contours of erotic and romantic encounters of American college students. Friedland is author of Amore: An American Father's Roman Holiday and Co-Author (with Harold Zellman) of The Fellowship: Frank Lloyd Wright and the Taliesin Fellowship (Harper Perennial). He also writes for Religion Dispatches, Reset, Lettre International.
