Howard Gould is a true adventurer and explorer. He started out his career making underwater and adventure films with a company he founded and ran called Walkabout Productions. While with Walkabout he spent several years traveling the globe filming all types of sharks including great whites, tigers and whale sharks as well as numerous species of whales and dolphins among other things. He is a trained technical and re-breather certified diver. Howard also travels extensively partaking in numerous extreme sports like kitesurfing, skydiving, heliboarding and bungy jumping and spent some time racing cars. Some of his other skills include being a skilled photographer and is currently training to get his pilot’s license.

Howard’s true passion is for the environment. He is a committed conservationist who is on the Chairman’s Council of Conservation International, one of the largest conservation groups in the world. He formerly started a bottled water company but divested when he learned of the dangers it caused to the environment. That lead to his involvement in co-founding a company called Equator Environmental, LLC. Equator is a firm that specializes in the generation and management of high-quality carbon credits and environmental assets derived from reforestation projects, forest and biodiversity conservation and sustainable land management. Equator is a for profit company that currently is considered one of the most cutting edge climate change companies and is positioned to be a very profitable operation. At Equator, Howard is Director of Corporate Development, a position that takes him on scouting trips to some of the most remote spots on the plant where is interacts with the local and indigenous people on the future of climate change. He also has significant business experience having worked at Bloomberg financial, ran sales for a fiber optic company and was a senior manager at a boutique investment banking firm.
