Joe Bodell started Minnesota Campaign Report in 2005, and is a member of the team that produces Minnesota Monitor, a project of the Center for Independent Media. Prior to becoming a part of the Minnesota blog scene, he worked on John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign and a 2006 gubernatorial campaign in Minnesota. As a web developer in his day job, he takes a particular interest in political technology developments, especially the influence of Web 2.0 applications on the modern political campaign. He covers campaign issues, and always makes sure to ask candidates to identify their favorite ice cream flavor during interviews.
