Matt Rusling is the founder of Borderless News Online (www.borderlessnewsonline.com) – an online analysis and forecasting publication that covers where Southeast Asia’s politics, economics and human rights meet. Mr. Rusling has covered Asia for more than a decade, conducting on-the-ground investigations of human trafficking and interviewing top Asian CEOs and politicians, as well as covering economic and military affairs. He has published in The New York Times, the Christian Science Monitor, USA Today, DPA, the Cambodia Daily, Asia Times Online and myriad other publications, and has appeared as a guest on NPR and BBC News Radio. He has reported from Korea, Japan, Cambodia, Thailand and Sierra Leone. He has also reported from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and from the prisons housing al-Qaeda operatives there. Before journalism, he served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Zimbabwe. He is a graduate of the Medill Graduate School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
