Melissa Noel is an award winning multimedia journalist. She produces video as well as print and online stories for NBCBLK on NBCnews.com, Voices of NY, Ebony Magazine and Caribbean Beat Magazine. Melissa is also a reporter and host for several Caribbean television networks. Both domestically and internationally, she is dedicated to researching, writing, producing, and editing news stories that center on the experiences and critical issues impacting minority and diaspora communities. Ms. Noel’s in-depth news coverage spans the United States as well as Trinidad and Tobago, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Curaçao, Guyana, Grenada, Barbados and Cuba. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from Howard University and a Master of Arts degree in journalism from The City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate School of Journalism, where she specialized in broadcast media and urban studies. She is a proud Guyanese-American based somewhere between New York City and a Caribbean island near you.
