Richard Walden

President and CEO

Founder, President & CEO Operation USA (www.opusa.org), which shared the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize as part of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines. Walden, an attorney and former Commissioner of the California Health Facilities Commission (1977-1982), has led disaster relief efforts to 100 countries since 1979. Walden attended the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business, its College of Arts & Sciences and its Law School. Walden has worked for the Mayor of New York (John Lindsay, 1972-74), the Legal Aid Society of San Diego County, the State of California and maintains a private law practice (1972-present). He has served on both nonprofit and corporate start-up boards of directors and co-founded China Dream Productions to foster co-productions between the US and China.
