Scott Scredon

Director of Public Relations, CredAbility

Scott Scredon is the director of public relations for CredAbility, a national nonprofit credit counseling and education organization based in Atlanta. He is responsible for all of the organization’s communications, including media relations, speechwriting and employee communications. He also manages the organization's public relations agencies. Scredon joined CredAbility in September 2007.

Mr. Scredon has more than 20 years of public and media relations experience. Prior to joining CCCS, Mr. Scredon worked for Bank of America Corporation for more than 18 years. During this time, Mr. Scredon developed and implemented media relations strategies that helped increase Bank of America’s visibility as one of the largest banks in the United States.

In addition to working in public relations, Mr. Scredon also served as a bureau chief and correspondent for BusinessWeek magazine. Mr. Scredon currently sits on the board of directors for the Atlanta Press Club Endowment Fund. He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in Journalism.
