Wayétu Moore

Founder/Publisher of One Moore Book

Wayétu Moore is a writer/essayist based in Brooklyn, New York. Moore is the founder of One Moore Book, a CBC-member boutique publisher of multicultural children's books aimed at readers in countries with low literacy rates. She's a graduate of Howard University and the University of Southern California. She’s currently a Margaret Mead Fellow at Columbia University Teachers College, where she’s researching the impact of culturally relevant curriculum and learning aids in the classrooms of underrepresented groups. She's an Africana Studies lecturer at City University of New York's John Jay College. Her novel, She Would Be King, is forthcoming with Graywolf Press (9/2018).
