Actress, script writer, fashion stylist, and egalitarian activist

Originally from Germany, Yana attended college in London before moving to New York.
Yana went on to become Fashion Associate Editor for Andy Warhol’s Interview magazine. As a freelance Fashion Stylist, she worked with New York fashion stylist icon Patti Wilson for magazines such as Italian Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and with celebrities including Madonna, Beyonce, Leonardo di Carpio, Kate Winslet, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston to name a few.
Yana recently appeared on Amanda de Cadenet’s show “The Conversation,” executive produced by Demi Moore, a program about inspiring women and their stories. Other guests include Gwyneth Paltrow, Jane Fonda, Eva Mendes, Rita Wilson and many more.
Yana is currently dividing her time between New York and Los Angeles, working in fashion, acting, and with a producer on a movie script she has developed.
Born transgender, Yana is a passionate advocate of equal rights for all.
“I believe that no matter who you are, you have the right to be respected and loved. No one should be treated differently because of their skin color, religion, sexual orientation, gender, social status, physical appearance and so on.”
Love and acceptance are the highest emotions we as human beings are capable of, and by being ourselves and allowing others to be themselves we make this world a better, more colorful place.
