"Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything. Maybe it's unbecoming everything that isn't you so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place."- A very wise unknown person
That nugget of wisdom hit me right in the spot the truth spot. Dead on.
It was one of those moments when time stood still and I had a deep YES.
The first word that jumped out at me was unbecoming; an unraveling, a breaking down, untangling undoing and unearthing. All to strip away pretence, filters and protective armour.
What's blocking you from our true exquisite version of yourself?
Reminiscing back to childhood: those days where you were freely yourself before the world told you how to be, who to be and what to do. The end result was a limited vision showed only one well-worn path. Your un-becoming invites you to undo, un-become and look deep below the superficial dirt on the path, the grass under your feet, the roots under the soil. Perhaps there is another path to travel...When you un-become, you look deeper. You are your true essence-who you were meant to be in the first place.
Un-becoming is beginning to question why you built your walls - what were you protecting yourself from? It's easy to play small in order to feel safe but over time that can become suffocating. Before you know it cushy comfort zones can become suffocating as you are pushed up against their edges.
I implore you to find and explore your edges.
Each time to approach your edges, you gain confidence, courage and bravery to peer over and see the unseen, the exceptional things just waiting for you to reach into. Each time you peer over your edge, in the distance you can see the outline of your vision a bit more clearly. Your vision brings clarity every time you take a step towards your edge.
The journey is long one. Take care of yourself as our travel. Along the way you have to tap into a fuel source to keep yourself motivated, nourished and focused. That fuel source is Pleasure.
Pleasure is a way of cultivating play, cultivating intimacy, closeness and will fuel your un-becoming so you have a clear vision of yourself how you show up in the world- as a woman,a wife a mother-one fully integrated person.
Ignite your ideas and take inspired action to gain a deeper understanding of what you want, why you want it how to get it.
When the world asks you to define yourself and commit to that definition before you really know yourself, don't commit to any definitions in stone. Be open to un-becoming as your life transitions. Redefine yourself along the journey and fuel your fire with Pleasure.
