UPDATE: Country singer Craig Morgan’s 19-year-son, Jerry Greer, was found dead after he went missing after a boating accident on Sunday.
“The Humphreys County (TN) Sheriff’s Department recovered his body this evening after a search that began Sunday following a boating accident on Kentucky Lake in Tennessee,” representatives for Morgan said in an emailed statement to The Huffington Post on Monday night. “A 2016 graduate of Dickson County High School, Jerry planned to play football for Marshall University in the fall.”

Jerry Greer, a 19-year-old recent graduate of Dickson County High School, was boating on Kentucky Lake in northern Tennessee, according to a statement from his family. Local NBC affiliate WSMV reports that Greer was tubing with a friend when an accident occurred.
Representatives for Morgan and his wife, Karen Greer, released the statement to The Huffington Post via email Monday.
“Recovery efforts to locate him are underway,” said the statement. “The family is grateful for everyone’s support and prayers and requests privacy during this difficult time.”
“The boat crash occurred yesterday afternoon around 4 pm. We have been searching for Jerry since then,” Chief Deputy Rob Edwards of the Humphreys Co Sheriffs Office told The Huffington Post over email. “We currently have 10-12 boats in the water with drag devices and divers. We currently have nothing further to add.”
