How 9/11 Changed the Way I Think About Work and Service

My father was working in the Pentagon during the 9/11 attacks. I've never felt so helpless in my life and it inspired me to make a difference. So when Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans, I knew I wanted to put my skills to work. It was amazing to see how people came together to meet such an overwhelming challenge. That's what service is all about. Finding a way to use the best of yourself to bring out the best in us all.
