The first day of summer is swiftly approaching. In other words, sun’s out, buns out! Many women are dieting and working out, trying to get sexy for summer. Here are three easy steps to help you get the perfect bikini body now.

1. Buy a Bikini.

2. Put it on your Body.

3. Stop caring about the opinions of others and have some fun in the sun!

Rules are made to be broken. Especially fashion rules. While some fashion publications say you shouldn’t wear an itty-bitty bikini if you’re over a certain age or weight. I say, do you boo! Wear that bikini, monokini, burkini or one piece swimsuit if you so choose. Live for today, not for tomorrow, or the day you lose weight, or the day you have washboard abs or the day your legs are lean and perfectly toned. Because who knows if or when that day will come. Better yet, who cares? Life’s short wear the bikini!

Here’s another secret, there are some AMAZING swimwear options for women of all sizes. As more fashion brands realize that plus size women dare to bare their curves. Companies like Swimsuits For All are leading the pack. Showing that bikini models come in all shapes and sizes. They’ve even teamed up with Plus Model Ashley Graham and Fashion Blogger Gabi Gregg to create fashion-forward, plus size swimwear collections that fly off the shelves every season.

Both of these trailblazing beauties are helping to break down barriers. Showing society that sexy is not a size. Showing women that everybody is a bikini body. So ditch the diet, or don’t! It’s 100% your choice. You know what else is your choice? What you put on your body. Don’t let a magazine tell you what not to wear. Wear whatever you feel fantastic in.

I felt pretty fantastic in this geometric print, high waisted number. While the intricate neckline is a showstopper, it makes for interesting tan lines. Nevertheless, I will be rockin’ this blue bikini all summer and will continue to give zero f**ks about anyone else's opinion.

Have you dared to wear a bikini? If not, what’s stopping you?
