Inside a rodeo at the largest maximum security prison in America

Held twice a year at the Louisiana State Penitentiary, the Angola Prison Rodeo is one of Louisiana’s oldest, and most unique traditions. Each weekend in October, inmates compete in one of the wildest rodeos in the south, doing everything from wild cow milking, to bareback bull riding. The event sells out every year, with the proceeds going to fund the prison's highly innovative re-entry program - a program that helps prisoners prepare themselves with job and life skills they'll need once they leave prison.
