Jimmy Fallon on Sunday questioned an odd claim President Donald Trump made about his most recent checkup. (Watch the video below.)
In a post-NFL-game edition of the talk show, the host said, “I saw that he just told reporters that he has ‘no idea what was analyzed’ during his recent MRI.”
Fallon feigned exasperation and said: “And his doctors were like, ‘Well, time for another MRI.’”
“Trump considered it a successful MRI because he was able to fit inside the MRI,” he continued.
In a talk with reporters onboard Air Force One last week, the president praised his magnetic resonance imaging outcome despite pleading ignorance of its intent.
“I have no idea what they analyzed, but whatever they analyzed, they analyzed it well,” Trump said. “And they said that I had as good a result as they’ve ever seen.”
Trump and the White House had previously been evasive about the MRI, which was done in early October.
He had the examination just six months after his annual physical.
Fast-forward to 1:45 for Fallon’s MRI analysis:
