Lauren Block, Stripper, Dies After Tumbling Over 15-foot Balcony During Lap Dance (VIDEO)

Lauren Block, a 22-year-old exotic dancer in Cleveland, is dead after injuries suffered from falling head-first off a 15-foot balcony while giving a lap dance.

The death happened Jan. 9, just two days after doctors described her condition as moving from stable to critical, reported.

The accident happened on Jan. 2 at Christie's Cabaret when Lauren Block, a 22-year-old stripper employed at the club was giving a private lap dance to Pasquale Storino, 25.

At one point during her dance, Block attempted an elaborate series of moves on Storino and, in the process, fell over a rail and suffered “major head trauma."

Block was rushed to the hospital with major head injuries and was initially listed in critical condition, according to WPTV-TV.

The police report said two men who witnessed the incident fled the bar as soon as it happened, but detectives are not treating this as a criminal case and told the station that the video surveillance inside the club was inconclusive.

Block's family released this statement to the media:

"We would like to thank the community for their outpouring of support and prayers for Lauren. She ... is an organ donor, and we hope this will enable her to save many lives and live on through others. We would like to express our gratitude to the staff at MetroHealth. They worked tirelessly to do all they could to save her life. We ask that the media respect our privacy during this difficult time. We know that she's in God's hands."

Christie's Cabaret has not officially commented on Block's death, but one of her former co-workers, Danielle Edwards, told that she's skeptical about the accident.

"Even in six inch heels, that railing came up high enough on me that I still had to lean over to see down below. So how she (Block) managed to get a majority of her body that far over the railing to where she lost her balance is confusing," she told the station.
