Chloe Bodur is one of the hottest new artists to be coming out of London, who has been creating a storm fresh off the release of her new single, ‘Glory’. The 19 year old singer/songwriter is bringing back old school jazz with her own unique and distinctive style. Combining funk-ridden guitar melodies with her hypnotic soulful vocals, Bodur has formulated a sound that people just can’t get enough of.

Produced by UK Top 10 charting producer, JD.Reid (Mabel, Katy B, Sinead Harnett, D Double E) and mastered at the prestigious Abbey Road Studios by Alex Gordon (The Kooks, Raye, Sigrid, Circa Waves), the slow-burning single ‘Glory’ has undoubtedly been making a buzz. With it’s ambient neo-soul melodies, smooth jazz arrangements and Bodur’s rich vocals about vulnerability and the underlying sense of loneliness, ‘Glory’ is a song which sonically sounds beyond the singer’s years.

Lyrically the song was written on reflection of modern day dating and how people desperately try and find love to fill a void. “It was originally written as a poem about youth trying to find love in themselves and in others and how one correlates with the other”, expresses Bodur. Evoking sophistication, emotional rawness and heartfelt contemplation, whilst highlighting incredibly polished musicianship, it is hard to believe that this is the first track to be released, leaving listeners thinking what will be next and making us want more!

Hailing from a mixed heritage family in London’s North West, Bodur’s influences include a diverse range of artists from Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra, to the likes of Frank Ocean and D’Angelo. The fusion of such highly respected musicians, allowed Bodur to craft a distinguished and dynamic style, which immediately draws the listener in.

Deemed a “beacon of empowerment and liberation for young women”, Bodur is using her role within the music industry to inspire others and support female expression and young teens from mixed-heritage backgrounds. To say Chloe Bodur is one to keep an eye out for would be an understatement. Follow her socials to stay up to date with all the latest news, releases and gigs. Also stay tuned, as the release of the music video for ‘Glory’ will be unveiled early 2018.
