"Downton Abbey" star Maggie Smith won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series, Miniseries or Made-For-TV Movie prize at the 2013 ceremony on January 13.

Also in the race were "Modern Family's" Sofia Vergara, Sarah Paulson for "Game Change," Archie Panjabi from "The Good Wife" and Hayden Panettiere from "Nashville". Last year's winner, Jessica Lange, was nominated in the Best Actress in a Miniseries category this time time around. Smith was not at the ceremony to collect her award.

Hosted by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, this Golden Globes are broadcast live from the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
