Sending flowers to your loved one on Valentine's Day is a great way to show how much you care, but it's not exactly a complicated task. With so many companies that will ship blooms online, all you have to do is click and pay and you're on your way to looking like a real hero -- unless of course your sweetheart receives an arrangement that's incredibly sparse and well, ugly.
Many uploaded photos of flowers that looked nothing like what was advertised online and we have to agree, the end results were pretty sad looking. Though, the worst we saw was from Michael Moody, whose wife was supposed to receive the "Deluxe Hugs and Kisses" bouquet with 20 red tulips and 20 blue iris. But what she got instead was an arrangement that hadn’t yet blossomed. According to the company's customer service rep, who responded via Twitter "@mpmoody we send our flowers directly from growers, so they arrive in bud form, guaranteed to be fresh for 7 days - Amy.”
The company did apologize in reaction to some of the complaints and asked customers to email them directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. However, we don't think a refund will make up for the disappointment these poor people had to endure on the most romantic day of the year.
