A handwritten, one-sentence letter by reclusive writer J.D. Salinger is up for sale, the AP reports.
The price?
Owners of the scribble hope to get around $50,000.
In its eBay listing, the Nevada-based company who owns the note, calls it "exceedingly rare," Reuters reported.

In the letter, the Catcher in the Rye author addresses his maid, Mary.
It reads:
Dear Mary β
Please make sure all the errands are done before you go on vacation,
as I do not want to be bothered with insignificant things.
Thank you. J.D. Salinger
The author, who was so reclusive that he did not even own a telephone, died in Cornish, New Hampshire last year.
