Between launching a successful line of goods at The Snooki Shop, having an adorable baby with fiancé Jionni LaValle, and getting in shape, "Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi seems to have it all figured out, but she has definitely had some difficulties in reconciling her new life and the partying ways that were once her claim to fame.
Snooki spoke to the Daily Mail about her recent changes in behavior, the mistakes she's made along the way, how her son ended her binge-drinking lifestyle.
Snooki revealed that she had resumed her alcohol-filled party habits soon after giving birth to her son Lorenzo because, despite being a new mother, she was still expected to show a wild streak on her reality show "Snooki and JWoww." Snooki says that she was forced to drastically cut down the booze consumption, however, because she could literally smell the alcohol in her breast milk. She told the Daily Mail that the situation was out of control, saying, "My milk was so full of alcohol, I could have used it to start a bonfire in the yard. I could have cleaned the toilet with it." Rather than simply start her son on formula, she "re-evaluated her stance on drinking as a mother" and has transitioned to only drinking on rare occasions.
Since then, the pint-sized star has been working overtime to reinvent her image and prove that she has turned over a new leaf. Polizzi is currently promoting her tell-all book, "Baby Bumps: From Party Girl to Proud Mama, And All The Messy Milestones Along the Way," which is slated to be released on December 31st.
According to Us Weekly, Snooki writes in "Baby Bumps" that when she and LaValle first got together, they had unprotected sex so often without her becoming pregnant that she thought she was infertile. She also describes her road to sobriety, writing, "These days, the only bottles I care about are full of formula or milk," and her new lifestyle, saying, "I'd rather go to the gym than a club. The only men who see my boobs are my fiancé and my son."
Snooki seems to have learned a lot in 2013, and the new year is sure to bring more surprises from her.
