From small studio apartments to album releases to playing a stage at Outside Lands, it would be hard not to be inspired by The Knocks. With their songs representing everything from great dance beats, 70’s funk, and the best parts of rap, you would be hard pressed to find someone who couldn’t find “their song”. As new artists, beginning in a small studio apartment in East Village, the two friends began their journey, and from there have expanded their journey to help other artists in the biz. From working with other artists, to remixing songs for bigger artists like Ellie Goulding, they were also quickly moving up as producers and were even named by NME as one of the top 20 producers. These artists really have worked to create a culture of collaboration, both from a business and artist perspective.
Using their unique sound and their ear for the next up and coming artists, The Knocks has continued to collaborate and create amazing music through this idea that friends should work with friends and enjoy the experience as well as the final product.
