From small studio apartments to album releases to playing a stage at Outside Lands, it would be hard not to be inspired by The Knocks. With their songs representing everything from great dance beats, 70’s funk, and the best parts of rap, you would be hard pressed to find someone who couldn’t find “their song”. Though, their impressive list definitely doesn’t stop with their musical genius.

As new artists, beginning in a small studio apartment in East Village, the two friends began their journey, and from there have expanded their journey to help other artists in the biz. From working with other artists, to remixing songs for bigger artists like Ellie Goulding, they were also quickly moving up as producers and were even named by NME as one of the top 20 producers. These artists really have worked to create a culture of collaboration, both from a business and artist perspective.
Using their unique sound and their ear for the next up and coming artists, The Knocks has continued to collaborate and create amazing music through this idea that friends should work with friends and enjoy the experience as well as the final product.
This mentality has truly shown what these two artists are capable of and how this idea of truly putting your all into both your business and your art can create magic. Seeing them on stage, its hard not to witness the way they sync and combine their different influences, setting everything to a “can’t stop dancing” beat and truly having a great time.
All of this work and inspiration in the business is also being noticed by bigger artists and they have been able to tour with and work with some of the huge names in music like Walk the Moon, Sleigh Bells, and Carly Rae Jepson. Having such a unique sound makes them the perfect fit for any type of performance or venue. And with the newly released news that they will beopening for Justin Bieber on his upcoming Purpose World Tour, now they will get to travel the world showing their true talent and sharing their love and passion for this business!
