If you’re like most people, you probably experience sugar cravings regularly.

Maybe it’s after dinner when you catch a glimpse of the dessert menu, after eating some spicy food, or walking past a bakery that smells great. Other times, sugar cravings can seemingly come out of nowhere.

Sugar has a very powerful addictive effect on our brains similar to drugs like cocaine. In addition, eating too much sugar is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. The World Health Organization strongly recommends that both adults and children reduce the intake of free sugars to less than 10% of total energy intake.

If you often experience intense sugar cravings and eat too much sugar, there is hope. A product called Crave Crush has just launched that claims to stop sugar cravings in seconds. I was certainly skeptical. To my amazement, it actually works.

What is Crave Crush?

Crave Crush is a lozenge that looks and tastes like breath mint, which dissolves in your mouth to dull your perception of sweetness.

Crave Crush is made from all-natural, plant-based ingredients - gymnema, zinc, sorbitol, and mint - and takes only seconds to start working as the lozenge dissolves on your tongue. The sugar stopping effectiveness of one lozenge lasts up to 30-60 minutes.

What’s The Story Behind Crave Crush?

Crave Crush is the brainchild of Rob Goldstein who is the co-founder of Gotham Asset Management, a renowned New York investment firm. After eating an entire Nestle’s crunch bar one evening after a workout and a healthy meal, he was inspired to find a solution.

He thought that if he could reset his taste buds to how they were before that first bite, his willpower ought to stand a better chance. Following intense research, he met with preeminent smell & taste scientists who told him of a plant that blocks the sense of sweetness - gymnema sylvestre - from Southeast Asia.

Rob then hired Grant DuBois, the former director of ingredient sciences for Coca-Cola Co. to create a formula that minimizes the bitterness of the gymnema sylvestre plant while maintaining the sweetness-inhibitor properties. Meanwhile, Goldstein hired Arianne Perry, an elite runner who worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co., to help get the company going.

The patented formula became Crave Crush and Perry lined up a source of gymnema, hired manufacturers, and persuaded Eric Stice, a psychologist at the Oregon Research Institute, to study Crave Crush’s effects. During 2.5 years of testing different formulas, Rob lost 15-pounds and noticed an increase in energy.

Crave Crush launched January 1, 2017 and is available in two sizes: a 15-count and 60-count.

How Does Crave Crush Work?

As the Crave Crush lozenge dissolves in your mouth, the sweetness inhibitor, gymnema (pronounced “gym-knee-muh”) binds to your sweet taste receptors on your tongue, which prevents these receptors from being activated by sugar molecules.

In other words, after taking the lozenge, you don’t taste sugar for the next 30-60 minutes.

Let's say after dinner you are craving a warm chocolate lava cake on the dessert menu. But you know you have already eaten too much. Take Crave Crush and within seconds the craving will completely dissipate. When your friend offers you his or her sugary dessert, the taste will be completely altered because you cannot taste the sugar. You won't have any desire to eat any more.

Where Can You Buy It?

Crave Crush is available on its website www.CraveCrush.com, Amazon.com, and select stores in NYC. For just under $17, you can try this product yourself. I'm sure you will be as shocked as me when your try it.
